Safety Officer Cum ECO MCF-2026-0699154 Islandwide Full Time Professional 2 years exp Building and Construction $5,000to$6,000 Monthly 2 applicationsPosted 06 Jul 2026Closing on 05 Aug 2026 Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Officer cum Environmental Control Officer (ECO) to ensure a safe and environmentally compliant work environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing safety protocols, monitoring environmental regulations, and ensuring compliance with both workplace safety standards and environmental practices.
Educational Qualifications:
A degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Additional certifications in safety or environmental management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 14001, OSHA) are preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a safety officer or environmental control officer role, ideally within an industrial, manufacturing, or construction setting. Experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and environmental assessments.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices. Proficiency in risk assessment and the implementation of safety management systems. Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to enforce safety protocols and maintain a culture of safety. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for training, reporting, and liaising with various stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and in potentially hazardous environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Personal Attributes:
Detail-oriented and capable of identifying safety and environmental hazards quickly. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to suggest and implement corrective actions. A team player with a proactive attitude and commitment to fostering a safe and sustainable workplace. Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in handling safety and environmental challenges.
Additional Requirements:
Certification in First Aid/CPR would be an advantage. Knowledge of waste management systems, emergency response planning, and environmental impact assessments.
