Role:
The Environmental & Safety Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization complies with all environmental regulations and safety standards across its operations within the United States. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive environmental and safety programs that minimize risks to employees, the community, and the environment. The coordinator will conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly. Collaboration with various departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility is essential to this role. Ultimately, the Environmental & Safety Coordinator helps the organization achieve sustainable operations while protecting human health and the environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. Minimum of 1 year of experience in environmental compliance and workplace safety coordination. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA guidelines, and other relevant federal and state environmental and safety laws. Proven ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Excellent communication skills to effectively train employees and collaborate with multiple departments.

Experience with
ISO 14001
Environmental Management Systems and
ISO 45001
Occupational Health and Safety standards. Familiarity with environmental permitting processes and hazardous waste management. Proficiency in using environmental and safety management software tools. Experience working in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor environmental and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective measures are implemented. Coordinate training programs for employees on environmental compliance, workplace safety, emergency response, and best practices. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive actions. Prepare and submit required environmental and safety reports to regulatory agencies and company leadership. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental and safety considerations into operational planning and projects. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance. Manage waste disposal, hazardous materials handling, and emergency preparedness programs.
