In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, managing conflicts, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Your proactive approach and strong security skills will help create a safe experience for attendees, staff, and vendors alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of event security, making a tangible difference in a fast-paced environment. Duties Monitor event entrances and exits to control access for attendees, staff, vendors, and contractors. Conduct thorough security checks including bag inspections and credential verification. Utilize CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to oversee event premises continuously. Respond promptly to incidents or disturbances, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations. Provide first aid or CPR when necessary, ensuring immediate care for injured individuals. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents or emergencies. Maintain detailed incident reports and security logs to document all activities and occurrences during shifts. Experience Prior experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and loss prevention strategies. Certifications in first aid, CPR, or conflict management are preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided. Strong understanding of security protocols, crowd control techniques, and emergency response procedures. Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
