JOB TITLE
Security Officer/Guard FLSA:
Non-Exempt
DEPARTMENT
Security/Surveillance WAGE:
Starting $17.25 - $18.25 + Tips (Role is in a Tip pool position. The tips earned by everyone in these roles is split evenly based on hours worked) (Wage also depends on experience.)

POSITION REPORTS TO
Security/Surveillance Manager SUMMARY Purpose/Description Guard or patrol, premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. Checking I.D. to verify that all guests are at least 21 years of age. This position requires you to be mobile for the entire shift (8-10 hours). This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Gaming Support license from the State of Colorado Division of Gaming. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Short-term on-the-job training Knowledge Public Safety and Security Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of people, data, property. Knowledge of the I.C.M.Ps to assure compliance with State laws and the Colorado Limited Gaming Act.

Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential duties may involve performing physical exertion: constant brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting, bending, walking and crouching/stooping, pushing and standing for entire work shift, with standard breaks, in order to perform duties. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear and taste or smell. Essential duties involve working in a casino environment, which contains loud noise.
