Job Description
Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment and deterring potential threats through proactive surveillance and conflict management. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued, along with certifications in first aid and CPR. Responsibilities Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity across the property Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and address security concerns Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, including medical incidents requiring first aid or CPR Enforce security policies by checking credentials and monitoring access points Manage conflict situations with professionalism, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate issues Document incidents accurately through detailed reports for future reference Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious activity and preventing theft or vandalism Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed Monitoring delivery truck routes. Ensuring delivery vehicles stay on designated routes and off of city/county thoroughfares. Requirements Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly desirable Strong surveillance skills with knowledge of CCTV systems and monitoring procedures Excellent conflict management abilities with a calm and professional demeanor during stressful situations Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies or security breaches Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and stand for extended periods Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations (if applicable) This position offers an opportunity to play a critical role in safeguarding our community while working in a dynamic environment that values professionalism and vigilance.
