Anticipated Opening January 4, 2027 POSITION SUMMARY Franklin Elementary School is seeking a professional, dependable, and safety-minded Full-Time School Safety Officer to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. The School Safety Officer will maintain a visible security presence throughout the school and grounds, monitor building access, respond to safety and security concerns, assist with emergency preparedness and response, and work closely with school administration, staff, students, families, and local emergency personnel. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain a visible security presence throughout the school and school grounds. Monitor entrances, exits, hallways, common areas, and exterior areas. Monitor and assist with visitor access and building security procedures. Conduct routine security checks and report safety concerns or suspicious activity. Respond appropriately to safety, security, and emergency situations. Assist school administration with emergency procedures, drills, evacuations, lockdowns, and other safety-related activities. Work cooperatively with local police, fire, EMS, and other emergency personnel. Assist with student arrival, dismissal, special events, and other school activities as needed. Maintain appropriate professional relationships and boundaries with students. Complete required incident reports and communicate safety concerns to school administration. Maintain confidentiality regarding student, staff, and school matters. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent, Principal, or designee.

Pay:

$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
