•The Cybersecurity Specialist position with the Polk County Property Appraiser requires regular in-office attendance (Bartow, Florida) and is not a remote role. General Description of Position Under general supervision the Cybersecurity Specialist (CSS) is responsible for implementing security measures to protect the Polk County Property Appraiser's (PCPA) computer networks and systems from cyber-attacks. The CSS position is dedicated to PCPA efforts to develop organization wide best practices for Information Technology (IT) security. The Cybersecurity Specialist plays a vital role in keeping PCPA sensitive information secure and will work with all PCPA departments to identify and correct defects in security systems, solutions and programs while recommending and implementing specific measures that can improve the PCPA overall security posture. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Implement and maintain endpoint configuration management tools to ensure that devices adhere to security baselines. 2. Implement and manage endpoint protection solutions such as EDR, and host based IPS, to safeguard against malware, ransomware, and other security threats. 3. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments on endpoints and assist with patches and updates as needed. 4. Monitor and analyze endpoint security alerts and events and respond to security incidents in a timely manner. 5. Implement and maintain network security architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, email security systems, and other security devices. 6. Collaborate with the system administration team to integrate security measures into overall network design. 7. Monitor and analyze network traffic for security incidents and respond promptly to mitigate threats. 8. Work with Security Team to Investigate and conduct post-incident analysis to determine the root cause of security breaches. 9. With direction develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. 10. Conduct periodic security audits on network devices and configurations. 11. Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as

NIST, ISO
