In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across our premises by actively monitoring the property, controlling access points, and responding swiftly to any incidents. Your expertise in security procedures, law enforcement collaboration, and emergency response will ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and assets. Duties Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches, utilizing surveillance systems and physical presence. Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, implementing emergency response procedures including fire safety, AED operation, CPR, and first aid when necessary. Write detailed incident reports documenting security events, violations, or accidents with clarity and accuracy for review and record-keeping. Perform background checks on new personnel or vendors as part of security clearance processes to ensure compliance with company policies. Use law enforcement techniques and conflict de-escalation skills to manage disputes or confrontations professionally and safely. Operate security equipment such as Tasers, firearms (where authorized), heavy lifting tools, and manual handling devices while adhering strictly to safety regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in physical security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields with a strong understanding of security protocols. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use preferred; ongoing training in emergency response procedures is highly valued. Demonstrated ability to perform background checks and manage access control systems effectively. Excellent surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV monitoring and alarm systems operation. Strong conflict management abilities with a focus on de-escalation techniques to handle tense situations calmly. Physical fitness capable of heavy lifting and performing manual handling tasks safely over extended shifts. Knowledge of compliance standards related to security regulations and legal requirements governing firearm handling and use of force.
