Job Overview:
Lead the organization's security strategy to protect employees, assets, and ensure regulatory compliance. Work with management to ensure the organization has the correct risk mitigation strategies in place and is following the proper procedures for safety and security to comply with those strategies.
Job Expectations:
1. Develop and lead the organization's security strategy Develop a comprehensive security strategy aligned with organizational goals and risk exposure. Collaborate with management to design and implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure proper procedures are in place. Provide expert input for legal and compliance considerations related to safety and security matters. • Present security plans and updates to executive leadership as needed. 2. Oversee daily security operations Direct and oversee daily security operations across all locations to ensure effectiveness and consistency. Coordinate with safety teams to ensure security and safety measures are being followed. Interface with third-party security vendors (camera systems, access control providers, patrol personnel) to ensure service quality and expectations are met. Ensure all security protocols are organized, documented, and consistently followed. 3. Conduct risk assessments, audits, and investigations Perform risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and gaps. Investigate incidents involving theft, personnel issues, injuries, and accidents, and prepare detailed reports. Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols. Work with management to develop corrective actions for any identified deficiencies. 4. Implement and maintain security systems and protocols Implement and manage surveillance programs and procedures to monitor activity. Monitor and maintain access control systems to protect facilities and assets. Ensure all systems and processes are properly maintained and functioning effectively. Support employee training initiatives to ensure awareness and adherence to security practices.
