In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Your proactive approach will help prevent incidents, respond swiftly to emergencies, and maintain a safe environment for staff, visitors, and property. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to serve as a frontline protector while developing your skills in physical security and emergency response. Responsibilities Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity and ensure the safety of all areas. Control access to the facility using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of employees, visitors, and contractors. Conduct regular patrols throughout the premises to identify potential security risks or hazards. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies following established procedures. Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities. Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of the onboarding process. Assist in emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, fire safety protocols, and heavy lifting when necessary. Requirements Proven experience in physical security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of surveillance techniques including CCTV operation and incident report writing. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is preferred. Familiarity with security regulations and compliance standards across various environments. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Excellent customer service skills combined with a professional demeanor at all times. Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough security screenings when required.
