Full-Time Position Summary:

The Security Officer / Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for members, guests, and property within the association. This dual-role position combines traditional security duties with the ability to provide immediate basic medical care and emergency response when needed. The ideal candidate is observant, professional, and trained to respond calmly and effectively in both security and medical situations.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Duties:

Patrol community grounds, amenities, and residential areas. Enforce association rules, regulations, and policies in a professional manner Respond to disturbances, suspicious activity, and member concerns Write detailed incident and activity reports Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary Provide access control for guests, vendors, and deliveries Monitor surveillance systems and alarms

Emergency Medical Response Duties:

Respond to medical emergencies within the community Provide emergency medical response and assessment Maintain and inspect medical equipment and supplies (AEDs, first aid kits, etc.) Document all medical incidents accurately and confidentially

General Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service to members and their guests Maintain a visible and approachable presence within the community Communicate effectively with Security Supervisor and other team members Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (required) Current EMR or EMT certification strongly preferred but EMR certification is required within 90 days of starting position. Valid CPR/AED certification Previous security, law enforcement, or emergency response experience preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, sit, walk, and patrol for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Capability to respond quickly to emergencies in various environments

Work Environment:

Outdoor and indoor settings in a residential community Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays Exposure to various weather conditions and emergency situations

Compensation & Benefits:

$20.00 - $22.00/hr based on experience and certifications Health/life/vision/dental insurance, employer 401k program w/matching, and paid time off.

Pay:

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
