Industrial Security Professional at STT Security! Are you a proactive and dependable individual with a positive attitude? STT is expanding our team in Hemlock, MI, and we're seeking Industrial Security Professionals for all shifts. We're especially interested in candidates with experience in customer service, precise report writing, and familiarity with access control and surveillance systems. Come contribute to a vital role in industrial safety and security! Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Access Control Verify identification and authorization for all personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering and exiting the site. Issue and manage visitor passes, ensuring proper sign-in/out procedures. Operate and monitor access control systems, including gates, turnstiles, and electronic card readers. Conduct vehicle inspections for unauthorized materials or personnel. Patrol and Surveillance Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of the industrial site, including perimeter, buildings, and critical infrastructure. Monitor CCTV cameras and other surveillance equipment for suspicious activity, intrusions, or safety violations. Identify and report security breaches, hazards, and maintenance issues. Respond to alarms and investigate their cause. Emergency Response Respond to and manage security incidents, including theft, vandalism, unauthorized entry, and disturbances. Assist in emergency situations such as fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters, following established protocols. Provide first aid or call for emergency medical services as needed. Direct personnel during evacuations and ensure accountability. Reporting and Documentation Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all security activities, incidents, and observations including suspicious people, vehicles, or activities. Prepare incident reports, shift reports, and other documentation as required. Loss Prevention Monitor for and deter theft of company property, raw materials, or finished products. Enforce company policies regarding inventory control and material movement. Conduct inspections as authorized to prevent unauthorized removal of assets. Safety and Compliance Enforce site safety regulations and report any non-compliance. Monitor for and address hazardous conditions or unsafe practices. Ensure compliance with all relevant security procedures, company policies, and legal regulations. Communication and Coordination Communicate effectively with site management, employees, visitors, and emergency services. Coordinate with law enforcement or other external agencies when necessary. Provide information and assistance to authorized personnel. Key and Asset Management Control and track the issuance and return of company keys. Monitor and secure valuable assets or equipment. Training and DevelopmentCPR/AED/FA
certification required (training offered). Participate in ongoing security training and professional development. Maintain proficiency in the use of security equipment and systems. Physical Requirements Able to perform normal or emergency duties requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion such as:- Standing or walking for up to 8-12 hours
- Climbing stairs and ladders
- Lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50Ibs
- Work during inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat and cold. Other Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to pass full panel drug test at time of hire and ongoing.
