Security Officer

Job Description

Unarmed and armed positions open in multiple cities in Montana, to include Great Falls, Helena, Billings, Havre, Big Sky, Anaconda, Bozeman, Lewistown, Butte and more. This job posting is specifically for the Bozeman Hospital unarmed. Paid training and progressive career, see bottom of job responsibilities. Responsibilities Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry Obtain help by sounding alarms Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers Control traffic by directing drivers Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls Maintain organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements Ensure operation of security equipment and surveillance cameras by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises Provide excellent customer service Adhere to all company service and operating standards Respond to emergency situations to provide necessary assistance to employees, patents, clients and customers. Protect the Hospital's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, patrolling premises regularly, traffic control, and accident investigations Report suspicious activity, criminal behavior, and security breaches Maintain Central Montana Protection Services Training Requirements for unarmed security to include certifications. Paid training and Career advancement Online training provided to assist in career progression. Paid in person class room trainings that go above and beyond state requirements for Security guard licensing, provided to employees by our in house POST certified Law Enforcement instructors. Progressive career path with company career advisor, to include a few of the following ranks and the steps pay program within each position. Ranks available at this location. Security Officer Patrolman 3rd class, Patrolman 2nd class Patrolman 1st class Senior Security Officer Master Security Officer Corporal Corporal Senior Corporal Master Corporal Sergeant Sergeant Senior Sergeant Master Sergeant Training provided by POST certified instructors for the following but not limited to Defensive Tactics OC Spray Baton Ground Tactics Weapon Retention Firearms Training Crises Intervention Training Crowd Control Career moves open upon completion of probationary period Tactical Team/VIP opportunities for those with past military or law enforcement background. Highly competitive position with base rate for tactical members starting at $27.00. All other candidates must wait until probationary period ends before applying for Tactical Team position unless previous experience in SWAT, SRT, TRF or similar background. Tactical Team candidates must submit to the following Letter of intent and resume interview board physical fit test stress test Private investigator apprenticeship opportunity with internal hiring. Candidates must have 3 years of sworn law enforcement experience and take State exam or complete probationary period and work as an apprentice under a licensed Private investigator for 3 years before before eligible for state exam.
Pay:
$23.00 - $23.69 per hour
