Full Job Description Duties:
Controls access to all parts of the facility Meets and assists patients, staff and visitors in a courteous and professional manner Provides escorts as requested or needed Conducts foot patrols of buildings and premises to prevent or detect fire, theft, vandalism and tresspassing. Takes the appropriate action as necessary Monitors the conduct of all visitors while on hospital property, stops unauthorized persons for questioning as needed Controls disordered persons and emergency situations. Contacts the Police and/or Fire Dept. as necessary. Completes written reports, which include, but are not limited to the following: daily activities, incidents, traffic and safety investigation reports. Secures and/or unlocks offices and premises. Restrains patients when necessary, Maintains a current, valid driver's license. Controls access to the facility and parking areas. Assists in providing additional shift coverage as required or needed. Maintain means of contact and availability regarding emergency and overtime situations. Adheres to the direction of the Director as well as the supervisor on duty. This list is not all inclusive nor exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma -or- GED equivalent preferred 2 years relative experience preferred
CREDENTIALS + QUALIFICATIONS
SORA license through the state of New Jersey preferred (BLS) Basic Life Support preferred
