As a Security Officer Part Time Front Desk in Spring Valley, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

PM How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility customers at a front desk location by following site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.

Greet visitors, verify identification and appointment information, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.

Monitor access to the facility, receive and route calls and deliveries, and report unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate site contacts.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel as needed.

Support a professional front desk environment by providing directions, answering routine questions, and maintaining awareness of activity in the reception area.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a York State Security Guard License.

Have at least one year of security-related experience.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
