Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to protect 1-800-Flowers Corp property and assets, access control, CCTV, and dispatch systems. They will answer all security-related phone calls and calls for service. Officers will report incidents involving the company's employees, and assets and monitor all foot and vehicle traffic flowing through the campus. Officers will work with Human resources and Legal to enforce all 1-800-Flowers policies and procedures.
Shift:
Second Shift Hours Monday- Friday | 12:00 PM - 8:00PM Duties:
Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. Position will be responsible for one or more of these items, as assigned, by their supervisor/manager. To perform the job successfully, the individual must execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties, assignments, and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management- Patrol parking lots and exterior buildings to monitor and enforce parking policies, prevent theft, vandalism, and to prevent unauthorized access.
- Patrol interior of the building monitoring and enforcing company policy, OSHA regulations, and looking for hazards, unsafe behavior, or damage.
- Prepare all incidents summaries and reports finding using computer programs.
- Respond to calls for assistance from various departments throughout the company.
- Investigate incidents against the corporation by gathering information from all appropriate sources.
- Responds to burglary and fire alarm calls on campus while communicating with emergency services.
- Respond and provide medical assistance to all medical emergencies and administer First Aid/CPR/AED
- Respond to all emergencies as instructed in the Emergency Response Plan.
- Assist paramedics when required
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE EDUCATION
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience with de-escalation, conflict resolution, or peer resolution.
- Ability to communicate with employees at all levels (peers, employees & leadership).
- Ability to communicate detailed descriptions in written reports.
- Successful completion of: Safety Classroom Training, Mobile Elevated Work Surface certification, First-aid, AED, CPR and blood borne pathogens required.
- General familiarization with alarm panela or systems.
