Job Description

Full-time:
40 hours per week
Schedule:
Tuesday-Friday in studio Saturday onsite at events or in studio Occasional venue walk throughs as needed

18 days PTO Health benefits (75% employer-paid) Paid sick leave (per DC law) 4% matching 401(k) Design - 75% Efficiently design a wide range of floral elements with minimal oversight, including retail wraps, wearables, large-scale arrangements, and installations. Working from thorough consultation notes build engaging and captivating visual proposals Build recipes for weddings and special events using florist-specific software, ensuring seasonally appropriate and complementary floral selections. Stay informed on emerging floral trends, techniques, and materials to keep She Loves Me's designs fresh and industry-leading. Maintain a deep knowledge of floral mechanics for both small-scale designs and large installations. Conceptualize floral designs for special projects, including in-store installations, brand activations, styled shoots, and other special projects. Conduct quality checks to ensure consistency across all designs, including those by freelancers. Train new florists on both process and style, holding them to She Loves Me's design standards Serve as the onsite Lead at events, representing SLM and leading a team from concept to execution. Fresh stem and Hardgood Management - 25% Build, maintain, and manage a weekly "gameplan" that reflects stem and hardgood needs Place fresh product orders and navigate substitutions with creativity, efficiency and confidence Oversee the intake and organization of fresh flowers Manage stem health and product care to reduce waste, conducting quality research and proposing solutions Print and distribute floral recipes, and pull those recipes ahead of events and special projects Report damaged/missing product to suppliers and reconcile credit requests quarterly
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
