Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing young children, fostering developmental growth, and creating a safe, engaging learning environment. This role offers an opportunity to lead classroom activities, develop curriculum, and support the overall well-being of infants in a licensed childcare setting. Candidates with strong classroom management skills, experience in early intervention, and knowledge of childhood development are highly encouraged to apply. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to infants' developmental stages, including literacy education and physical activity. Lead daily classroom activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques. Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, preschool strategies, and early intervention practices. Monitor and document each child's progress using standardized testing tools and observational assessments. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress and address individual needs related to special education or child welfare. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality childcare standards are maintained. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety protocols, and health guidelines to maintain a safe environment for children. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood education, literacy, math instruction, and classroom management. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and early intervention techniques. Experience with curriculum development including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods. Familiarity with classroom management practices and lesson planning tailored for infants and toddlers. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families, staff, and community partners. Background in special education or experience working with children requiring additional support is preferred. Certification in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable. Ability to foster a nurturing environment that promotes child welfare and positive social-emotional growth.
