Position Summary:
The leasing agent is the first point of contact with potential residents. They are responsible for meeting and greeting potential residents and providing general property information. Leasing agents may market the property, show units, negotiate any lease and complete lease.
Position Responsibilities:
Greet prospects and complete guest cards and traffic sheets Show apartments and amenity areas, send thank you notes and follow-up with prospects as necessary to successfully complete the sale Answer and respond to telephone inquiries and schedule site visits as appropriate Assist prospects with the completion of applications Initiate resident screening Communicate acceptance/rejection of application to prospective residents Review lease paperwork with residents and explain property rules and regulations. Ensure all lease paperwork is completed correctly and approved by Property Manager Collect deposits, ensure lease files are complete and that the correct entries are posted in the accounting system Ensure all prospect, traffic and other leasing data is entered correctly and in a timely manner into the on-site property management software system Work with property team to implement renewal program and work to maximize resident renewals Administer the Resident Referral and Resident Retention programs Enter applications and renewals into management software program Assists with daily bank deposits, as required Conduct themselves and property business according to State and Federal laws and regulations Assist in resolving resident complaints and answers resident questions Take maintenance service requests from residents and submit service requests As required, inspect units, common areas and property to insure adherence to property standards Assist with the required weekly and monthly property reports Perform market research and generates market comparison reports Assist with maintenance and cleaning of the office, amenity area, models and common areas of the property Open and close leasing office at scheduled times Send birthday bags to residents Conduct company errands off of the property including purchase of supplies, post office mailings, etc. Conduct property business according to company policy Perform other duties as necessary to meet the needs of residents and the property and the
Property Manager Essential Skills and Experience:
Must possess a basic knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and personnel Must be proficient with
Microsoft Office Software Non-Essential Skills and Experience:
Experience in a customer service role a plus
Minimum Qualifications Required:
High school education or equivalent preferred Applicants must be able to work weekends Rockwood Property Management offers salaries which are competitive and commensurate with experience.
