Job Description
Job Summary:
- We are seeking an Legal & Real Estate Assistant to join our team. They will be responsible for maintaining files, communication, drafting documents, and other legal duties as assigned, real estate transactions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Legal Assistant
- Open new files on file management system, create new physical file, scan appropriate documents, circulate information as needed, answer phones, maintain office calendar, meet with clients.
- Coordinate with
Parties:
Communicate with various parties to a matter, including insurance companies, other attorneys and their staff, court staff, and other professionals. Must be able to schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions and mediations.- Draft and edit various legal documents including letters, memorandums, briefs, pleadings, and any other correspondence as directed. Prepare Closing Documents:
Create and review all documents required for closing, including purchase agreements, titles, deeds, closing statements, etc.- Coordinate with
Parties:
Act as the primary point of contact between buyers, sellers, real estate agents, mortgage lenders, and attorneys to ensure everyone is informed and aligned throughout the closing process.- Maintain accurate records and files related to real estate transactions.
Facilitate Signing and Recording of Documents:
Arrange and oversee the signing of all necessary documents by the buyers, sellers, and lenders. Submit documents to appropriate offices for recording, ensuring the legal transfer of property ownership.- Skills
- Legal experience in civil & litigation and/or real estate industry (preferred but not required).
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Knowledge and understanding of legal terminology and processes.
- Knowledge of court records, pleadings, and the court system.
- Experience with escrow and loan processing.
- Ability to draft curative documents for title issues.
- Knowledge of court records and title documents.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
- Notary license is a plus.
