We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our healthcare team and ensure the highest standards of patient care in our correctional healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or other healthcare professional. Administer medications, perform wound care, and monitor patient vital signs. Assist with patient examinations and procedures. Educate patients on disease management and self-care. Document patient medical records, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and completeness. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.

Requirements:

Current licensure as a practical nurse in the state of Virginia. Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a correctional healthcare environment. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Proficiency in medical equipment and software. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Must be able to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure. Must be able to work with a diverse population of patients. Must be able to follow all safety and security protocols.
