Non-Exempt Job Summary Work with a team of bakers, cooks and prep staff in bakery, tavern, cafe and concession stand environments to produce large quantities of food in a fast-paced operation with a variety of fast-casual menu items. Assist in receiving deliveries, rotating stock and washing pots and pans as needed. May assist in monthly inventory counts. Assists in maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness and health code compliance.

This is a part-time role
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to Cook a specific portion of each order as assigned by the Executive Chef, Head Chef or Team Leader. Assemble customer orders and provide garnishment. Assist with prep work, including but not limited to cutting, marinating, mixing and precooking foods. Clean and sanitize all surfaces, including floors, with soap, warm water and sanitizer both during the shift and after the location's close in order to maintain sanitary conditions. Assist in the set-up, organization and preparation and clean-up of both kitchen and specific cook station as assigned by supervisor. Assist with closing the kitchen and station at the end of shifts. Assist in stocking and maintaining inventory, including occasional ordering and receiving deliveries.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
18 years of age or older High School Diploma and/or Equivalent Vocational Training 1+ years previous experience in cooking, kitchen staff, hospitality, etc. Serve Safe Certification Preferred Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.
Equipment/Machinery:
This role requires daily hands-on use of standard kitchen equipment, including knives and a meat slicer.
Physical Exertion:
Moderate Work- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Work may include loading and unloading cases of product, setting up product, and lifting, lowering, and moving product.
Environmental Conditions:
Indoor Work- Indoor environments may include exposure to temperature variations, such as unheated or non-air-conditioned areas. Outdoor Work- Outdoor work may involve exposure to weather conditions and seasonal temperature changes.
Travel:
No Regular Travel- This position does not require regular travel.
