Job description Description This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to work within the Medical Practice industry, delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Locum Anesthesiologist Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. This position is perfect for those looking to make a significant impact in a short-term capacity while gaining valuable experience in various clinical settings. Responsibilities Assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia during surgical procedures Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes Provide preoperative assessments and postoperative care Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations Communicate effectively with surgical teams and patients Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies Document patient care activities accurately and timely Participate in continuous education and training programs Requirements Associate degree in Anesthesia Technology or related field Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant Strong understanding of anesthesia principles and practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 7a-5p No call shifts
Caseload:
OB/GYN, ortho, general, urology, podiatry, and minimal pediatrics; no cardiac, neuro, or vascular cases
Team Structure:
4 MDs, 4 AAs 1:1 medical direction
EMR:
Meditech Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
