Title:
Loker Secretary Position Summary:
Wayland Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented secretary to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about supporting our Loker faculty and the academic, social, and emotional growth of our youngest learners. Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to): Managing Student attendance and lunch counts Overseeing staff attendance Completing weekly payroll reporting Support Administration with identifying substitute teachers and other teacher coverage needs Works collaboratively with the Administrative Assistant on school purchases on supplies and equipment including invoice verification for payment. Supports the management of the school budget Oversees dismissal plans in Pick Up Patrol and staff bus duty assignments
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience working with elementary-aged children is highly preferred.
Cultural Competency:
Experience with diverse populations and a strong commitment to Wayland's goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Professionalism:
Strong communication skills and the personal characteristics necessary to serve as a positive role model for students.

DESE Licensure:
Must hold valid Massachusetts licensure in:
SEI Endorsement:
Evidence of Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement is mandatory.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
Hours:
30 Hours per
Week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday:
7:45am-2:30pm
Wednesday:
7:50am-1:20pm
Salary:
