Job Summary
Our Lake Charles, LA team is interviewing and making offers NOW
• for experienced aircraft mechanics (Structural, Systems and Avionics) to join our growing E-6B program. The E-6B is an airborne command post and communications relay, based upon a Boeing 707 platform. It conveys instructions from the National Command Authority to fleet ballistic missile submarines, a mission known as TACAMO ("Take Charge And Move Out"). These roles do not require a security clearance to apply, and are long-term opportunities with significant long-term career potential with Northrop Grumman.
•Level 3 roles are open. Levels 1 and 2 may be available
Requirements
Required for all roles: US Citizenship
Basic Qualifications (Structures)
High School Diploma w/10 years relevant work experience
Able to perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours
Able to change physical locations based upon need (including physical ability to travel)
Ability to be subject to a variety of physical conditions
Able to wear respirator or other safety gear
Ability to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or closed spaces
