Job Description
Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our growing team in Pelham, AL. This is a highly technical, service-focused role responsible for the inspection, testing, programming, troubleshooting, and repair, of commercial fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned fire alarm professional who thrives in customer-facing environments and has strong hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving complex fire alarm issues. This role supports a diverse customer base ranging from small local businesses to large commercial facilities. The organization is currently investing in and restructuring its fire alarm division, creating significant opportunities for career growth and leadership advancement. What You'll Do

- Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial fire alarm systems.
- Program and commission addressable and networked fire alarm systems.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues including: o Ground faults o Intermittent troubles o Device and circuit failures o Communication issues o Monitoring connectivity problems
- Complete service documentation and inspection reports accurately and thoroughly.
- Interface directly with customers, facility personnel, fire marshals, and AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction).
- Provide exceptional customer service while representing the company in the field.
- Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance when needed.
- Travel throughout an approximately two-hour service radius from the Duluth office.
- Participate in an on-call support rotation. What This Role Is Not
- No installation work.
- No overnight travel.
- Focused solely on service, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.

https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements- 7+ years of commercial fire alarm experience with a strong emphasis on service.
- Extensive experience programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning fire alarm systems independently.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve advanced fire alarm system issues.
- Hands-on experience with major fire alarm manufacturers such as: o Notifier (preferred) o Honeywell o Edwards/EST o Siemens o Gamewell-FCI o Fire-Lite o Potter o Silent Knight
- Strong customer-facing communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing a service territory.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (see full details attached)
- Must pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening includes a 5 Panel Drug Screen that may include:
- amphetamines (including methamphetamines), cocaine, marijuana (only where permitted by law), barbiturates, benzodiazepines, methadone, oxycodone, heroin, opioids, phencyclidine (PCP) and their metabolites
