We work with all types of corporate customers, ranging from large pharmaceutical and manufacturing firms, to entertainment studios and executive estates. The Security Technician IV is responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting security systems and equipment through the development and execution of best-practice electronic, technical and mechanical workflows. This includes alarm systems, access control systems, video surveillance systems and other relevant security technologies that the company deploys. What to expect... Install, configure and service security systems that include integrated intrusion alarm, video surveillance and access control. Conduct routine maintenance and testing to ensure proper functionality of security systems and equipment. Identify and troubleshoot security system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs. Collaborate with customers to determine security needs and recommend appropriate equipment and technologies. Provide technical support to customers and address questions or concerns related to security systems and equipment. Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of the security software and hardware utilized and deployed by the company. Stay current on local building and electrical codes. Keep precise records of work performed. You've got what it takes if you have... 3+ Years experience as a Security Service Technician in a commercial space. •Required Working knowledge of Genetec, Bosch and Lenel systems. Computer skills that include Microsoft Office and (ideally) D-Tools, as well as the ability to use the internet as a research tool and resource. Ability to interpret blueprints, plans and specifications. Ability to climb ladders, work in ceilings, and work outdoors with boom lifts. Clean driving record and ACE card (or the ability to obtain one). Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with coworkers, clients, tradespeople and vendors. Knowledge of applicable safety and security regulations and best practices.
