About Us Gotuwired, Inc. is a commercial low-voltage integration company specializing in AV, security, and structured cabling for commercial clients across San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. We're a licensed (C-7/C-10) team with 20+ years in the industry, looking for an experienced Security Technician to join our field team. Experience Level We're looking for a Level 3 (Expert) technician: Level 1 (Greenhorn): entry-level, learning the trade Level 2 (Knowledgeable): solid hands-on experience, works independently on standard installs Level 3 (Expert): deep technical mastery, handles complex installs and troubleshooting, can mentor junior techs — this is the level we're hiring for What You'll Do Install, wire, and terminate access control panels and related hardware Configure and deploy security camera systems, with hands-on experience across Verkada, Motorola, and Avigilon platforms Run and terminate low-voltage cabling to support access control and video surveillance systems Troubleshoot and service existing systems in the field Work directly with our Project Managers and Field Managers on commercial installations across San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles What We're Looking For Level 3 / expert-level experience in security systems installation and service Hands-on wiring experience with access control panels Direct experience with Verkada, Motorola, and Avigilon preferred Broader security systems experience a plus Solid working knowledge of low-voltage cabling Ability to read blueprints/system diagrams and troubleshoot independently Reliable transportation for travel between job sites Valid driver's license Compensation $32-$39/hour, DOE Why Gotuwired Established company (20+ years in business) with a strong local reputation and repeat commercial clients Work across a variety of real commercial security and AV projects, not just repetitive residential jobs Supportive, experienced team environment Room to grow into a senior/lead technician or field management role
