Fire Sprinkler Designer Seaside Fire Protection Pinellas Park, FL Job Details Full-time 8 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork System design Attention to detail Organizational skills National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies Water-based fire suppression systems Full Job Description Seaside Fire Protection is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional with experience designing fire sprinkler systems for commercial and multifamily construction projects. The ideal candidate understands NFPA requirements, can work effectively with contractors and project managers, and is comfortable managing designs from initial plans through approval and construction. Responsibilities Design fire sprinkler systems in accordance with
NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, NFPA 13D
, and applicable local codes Prepare detailed fire sprinkler shop drawings and permit/approval packages Perform hydraulic calculations and system layouts Review architectural, structural, mechanical, and plumbing plans Coordinate sprinkler layouts with other trades to identify and resolve conflicts Prepare material takeoffs and fabrication information Make plan revisions based on AHJ, engineer, contractor, and field comments Communicate with project managers, field personnel, general contractors, engineers, and AHJs Maintain accurate project documentation and meet required design deadlines Provide design support throughout permitting and construction Qualifications Previous fire sprinkler design experience required NICET certification(s) are a plus Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and fire sprinkler system design Experience with AutoCAD and/or fire sprinkler design software Experience performing hydraulic calculations Ability to read and interpret construction documents Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Knowledge of Florida fire sprinkler codes and permitting requirements is a plus What We Offer Base salary plus bonus plan Full-time position Growing fire protection company with a strong project pipeline Opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and multifamily projects Professional, team-oriented work environment Opportunity for long-term growth with Seaside Fire Protection Apply today by submitting your resume and a brief description of your fire sprinkler design experience.
