The Senior Security Installation Technician leads the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and intrusion detection systems. This role supports Project Managers with scheduling and field execution, ensures systems meet design specifications, and serves as a technical leader on small to large projects. The position also mentors and trains Installation Technicians I and II, provides client walkthroughs and system training, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with Engineering and Sales on system design and field solutions. Strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving security technologies are essential.

Salary:

Hourly wage varies from $35.00 to $45.00, non-exempt, commensurate with skills, product knowledge and experience.

The Right Candidate:

• 5 + years of experience as a senior security installation technician, including team leadership
• Hands‑on experience with Access Control (Software House, Lenel, Hirsch) and CCTV platforms (Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon) is Essential.
• Experience with intrusion detection systems (Bosch or similar)
• Strong understanding of system programming, software setup, networking, and deployment
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings, troubleshoot complex issues, and work in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills; comfortable training team members and clients
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, documentation requirements, and able to lift 25+ lbs

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, terminate, and troubleshoot access control, CCTV, and security systems, including panels, wiring, and software
• Support the Project Manager with on‑site scheduling, field execution, equipment coordination, and daily reporting
• Lead, mentor, and support Installation Technicians I & II across small and large projects
• Inspect new installations to ensure systems meet design, quality, and performance standards
• Complete required documentation (timesheets, service reports, testing, closeout packages)
• Support preventative maintenance, system design/assembly, client walkthroughs, and technical input for
