Their duties include assisting experienced sprinkler fitters with laying out, assembling, installing, and testing sprinkler piping and related components. This entails working from blueprints and drawings, using hand and power tools, transporting materials and equipment, maintaining a safe and organized work area, and learning to perform sprinkler installation work in accordance with company procedures and applicable building and fire codes. This position will report directly to the onsite Forman. Entry Level Sprinkler Fitter -

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist experienced sprinkler fitters with the installation of fire sprinkler piping, fittings, valves, hangers, and related components. Read and follow blueprints, drawings, specifications, and installation instructions under supervision. Assist with measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, assembling, and installing sprinkler pipe. Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and properly. Assist with the installation of sprinkler heads, valves, supports, and other fire protection components. Help prepare materials, tools, and equipment needed for daily work assignments. Assist with testing sprinkler systems for leaks and proper operation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable fire and building codes. Safely lift, carry, and move pipe, tools, materials, and equipment as required. Work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and other elevated work areas when properly trained and authorized. Communicate effectively with sprinkler fitters, foremen, project managers, and other construction personnel. Learn and develop the skills necessary to independently perform sprinkler fitting duties. Report jobsite hazards, equipment issues, material shortages, and other concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Maintain company tools and equipment and ensure they are properly stored when not in use. Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful completion of fire protection projects.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Construction, plumbing, mechanical, or trade experience preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read basic measurements, drawings, and written instructions.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver pipe, tools, and materials.
• Ability to work at heights and in active construction environments.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction.
• Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to learn the sprinkler fitting trade.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Contributes to and supports a positive, respectful, and collaborative team culture through professionalism, teamwork, open communication, and constructive interactions with colleagues.

Pay:

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
