Required Knowledge Primary (Configuration & Systems) Strong knowledge of the configuration, administration, and commissioning of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, and IP video surveillance. Experience configuring networks for security systems (IP addressing, switches, routers, and basic VLANs). Knowledge of Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) for detecting, analyzing, and preventing network intrusions. Proficiency with security software, including system monitoring, user management, data backup, and troubleshooting. Configuration and diagnostics of IP cameras, NVRs/DVRs, control panels, and communication devices. Experience integrating security systems with technology platforms. Secondary (Physical Installation) Experience with structured cabling (copper and fiber optic). Installation of copper and fiber optic cabling. Experience installing galvanized EMT/RMC conduit and heavy-duty PVC conduit, including bends, offsets, supports, and modifications. Proficient in the use of hand tools, measuring instruments, and specialized installation equipment. Installation of conduit supports and mounting accessories. Skills Configuration & Systems Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for security systems and networks. Ability to configure and optimize security hardware and software. Strong problem-solving skills, both on-site and remotely. Analytical thinking and solution-oriented approach. Ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms.
