Duties Install, configure, and maintain access control systems, including electronic door security integrations and alarm systems. Troubleshoot and repair security equipment such as IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, CCTV cameras, and related hardware. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately wire low-voltage electrical systems and cabling setups. Conduct system testing to verify proper operation of security components and perform remote access software support when needed. Read electrical blueprints and schematics to facilitate electrical wiring, system design adjustments, and equipment troubleshooting. Perform routine inspections of physical security systems, ensuring all components function correctly and meet safety standards per NEC (National Electrical Code). Provide technical troubleshooting support for complex issues involving electrical security system installation or system upgrades while maintaining excellent customer service. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in alarm & access control systems within commercial or residential settings. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools for electrical wiring and equipment installation. Familiarity with low-voltage electrical wiring, schematics interpretation, and electrical blueprint reading essential for system design and troubleshooting. Knowledge of CCTV surveillance systems, sensors, fire alarm integration, and physical security system troubleshooting techniques. Experience working with computer hardware, networking concepts, remote access software, and system configuration in accordance with NEC standards. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations. Pay:
