Low Voltage Technician - All Systems (One or All Disciplines)

W. Virginia (Beckley & Huntington) We're hiring Low Voltage Technicians with experience in one or all low‑voltage systems . Whether you specialize in a single discipline or have broad multi‑system expertise, we want to hear from you. You'll install, service, and troubleshoot structured cabling, security, access control, CCTV, fire alarm, AV, and related low‑voltage technologies across a variety of commercial and secure environments. Responsibilities Cabling Installation — Install, pull, terminate, and test Cat5e/6/6A, fiber, coax, and other low‑voltage cabling. System Installation — Install and service one or all low‑voltage systems including security, access control, CCTV, fire alarm, AV, and structured cabling. Device Mounting — Mount cameras, card readers, fire alarm devices, speakers, displays, and related hardware. Troubleshooting — Diagnose cabling issues, device failures, and system communication problems. Testing & Certification — Use Fluke testers, OTDRs, certifiers, and other equipment to verify performance. Blueprint Interpretation — Read and follow blueprints, riser diagrams, and scope documents. Job‑Site Coordination — Work with lead techs, project managers, GCs, and clients to maintain workflow. Quality & Safety — Maintain clean cable management, follow safety standards, and ensure code compliance. Special Facility Work — Perform installations in hospitals, schools, jails, and military bases , following strict security and safety protocols. Documentation — Complete daily reports, testing results, and closeout documentation. Required Qualifications 2-5+ years of low‑voltage installation experience Experience with one or more of the following systems: Security Access Control CCTV Fire Alarm Audio/Visual Structured Cabling Ability to terminate copper and/or fiber cabling Ability to operate test equipment (Fluke, OTDR, certifiers) Strong understanding of cabling standards and installation best practices Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders/lifts Must be able to pass a background check Experience working in hospitals, schools, jails, or military bases •Must pass background check•
