The ideal candidate is skilled in structural and non-structural collision repair, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is able to work efficiently in a busy auto body shop environment. Compensation $25-$27/hour commission/flat-rate equivalent Compensation is based on experience, productivity, and completed repair work Consistent workflow and opportunity for strong earnings Pay structure and commission details will be discussed during the interview Responsibilities Perform collision repairs according to manufacturer and industry standards Repair and replace damaged body panels and structural components Perform frame and structural repairs as needed Perform steel and aluminum welding Remove and install vehicle body components, including doors, fenders, bumpers, hoods, and related parts Straighten and repair damaged sheet metal Perform measuring, pulling, fitting, welding, and panel replacement Review repair orders and follow repair procedures and specifications Work closely with estimators, painters, and other technicians to complete repairs efficiently Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe Follow all shop and workplace safety procedures Required Qualifications Previous professional auto body/collision repair experience Steel welding certification required Aluminum welding certification required Strong knowledge of collision repair techniques and procedures Experience with structural and non-structural repairs Ability to properly use welding, frame, body repair, and shop equipment Ability to read and follow repair orders and manufacturer repair procedures Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, responsible, and able to complete repairs within established timelines Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications I-CAR training or certification OEM collision repair training/certifications Experience repairing both domestic and foreign vehicles Experience working in a high-volume collision repair facility What We Are Looking For We are looking for a dependable, experienced body technician who can produce quality work while maintaining efficiency .
