Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces meticulously through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primers, paints, coatings, and finishes using conventional spray guns and airless paint sprayers to achieve smooth, flawless finishes. Conduct surface repairs including dent removal, welding, and auto body refinishing to restore vehicles to factory standards. Use power tools such as grinders and buffing machines for surface smoothing and polishing to enhance vehicle appearance. Perform auto glass replacement and minor mechanical tasks related to auto restoration projects. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by properly handling hazardous materials with respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members on vehicle inspections, estimating repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship. Qualifications Proven experience in dealership or auto body shop environments with a strong background in auto body repair and painting. Hands-on expertise with welding, sanding, buffing, and automotive surface preparation techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, grinders, spray guns (conventional and airless), and detailing equipment. Knowledge of automotive mechanics, vehicle maintenance procedures, and auto restoration processes. Familiarity with automotive paints, coatings, masking techniques, and surface finishing standards. Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform physical tasks required for auto body refinishing projects. Excellent customer service skills along with auto estimating experience are a plus.
