In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original beauty through expert surface preparation, painting, and finishing techniques. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle leaves the shop looking flawless, providing our customers with exceptional service and quality craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive refinishing and dedicated to delivering outstanding results in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply primers, paints, coatings, and clear coats using conventional spray guns and airless paint spraying equipment Perform surface repairs including dent removal, filling, and sanding to achieve smooth, even surfaces ready for painting Use automotive buffing tools and grinders to refine finishes and restore vehicle luster to a high-gloss shine Operate hand tools and power tools safely for auto body repairs, including welding when necessary for structural repairs Conduct auto restoration tasks such as rust removal, panel replacement, and detailed surface preparation for painting Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols, including proper respiratory protection when handling paints and chemicals Experience Proven dealership or automotive body shop experience with a focus on auto painting and refinishing techniques Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto body repair processes Hands-on experience with surface preparation masking, sanding, buffing, and detailing procedures Familiarity with automotive surface preparation standards and the use of various spray guns for painting and coating applications Knowledge of automotive paints, primers, coatings, and proper application methods including airless spray systems Ability to operate grinders, sanders, buffing machines, and other power tools efficiently Experience with auto restoration projects is a plus but not mandatory Candidates should possess excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward teamwork. Heavy lifting may be required to handle vehicle parts or equipment safely. A commitment to quality workmanship combined with safety awareness ensures success in this role.
