Job Summary We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Body Shop Helpers to join our dynamic automotive repair team. In this role, you will assist skilled technicians with a variety of tasks related to vehicle body repair, restoration, and finishing. Your energetic approach and willingness to learn will contribute to delivering high-quality repairs efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Support automotive body technicians with tasks such as sanding, detailing, and preparing vehicles for repair or painting. Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of vehicle parts using hand tools and power tools, including auto glass installation and automotive parts fitting. Perform basic welding repairs using MIG welding techniques and automotive welding equipment, ensuring structural integrity of repaired vehicles. Help with sheet metal fabrication, cutting, shaping, and repairing damaged panels using fabrication repair techniques. Carry out automotive cosmetic repairs such as dent removal, auto restoration, and auto body refinishing under supervision. Aid in the use of sanding tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and other finishing tools to achieve high-quality surface finishes. Support heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols during all repair processes. Experience Prior dealership experience or hands-on work in an automotive body shop is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Familiarity with MIG welding, soldering, fabrication techniques, and automotive structural repair is highly desirable. Basic mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto repair processes is a plus. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, sanding equipment, and automotive parts installation enhances your suitability for this role. Knowledge of auto painting, auto glass replacement, auto estimating procedures, and automotive cosmetic repair is beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions typical of a busy shop setting.
