Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic collision repair team as a Collision Shop Operator, working from 9 AM to 6 PM. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of automotive repair equipment and tools to restore vehicles to their original condition. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality repairs, efficient workflow, and satisfied customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive repair, fabrication, and welding techniques to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate automotive welding equipment such as MIG welders and soldering tools to perform structural repairs and fabrication tasks. Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, sanding, and automotive cosmetic refinishing. Use hand tools and power tools for vehicle disassembly, assembly, auto parts installation, and auto glass replacement. Perform automotive structural repairs utilizing fabrication repair techniques and sheet metal work to restore vehicle frames. Apply automotive painting techniques including auto painting, airless paint spraying, and automotive body refinishing to achieve a polished finish. Assist with auto restoration projects by utilizing welding repair skills and mechanical knowledge for complex repairs. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed during heavy lifting and use of power tools. Requirements Previous dealership experience or hands-on work in an automotive body shop is highly preferred. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques required. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance and automotive structural repair. Familiarity with auto body repair processes including dent repair, sheet metal work, sanding tools, and automotive cosmetic repairs. Experience operating automotive welding equipment and auto painting tools such as airless paint sprayers is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, and automotive parts installation equipment. Knowledge of auto estimating procedures and auto restoration processes is a plus.
