Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician / Collision Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition by performing precise auto body repairs, structural fixes, and cosmetic enhancements. Your expertise in automotive repair techniques, welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will ensure our customers receive top-quality service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced automotive repair equipment and contribute to vehicle restoration projects that demand attention to detail and technical proficiency. Responsibilities Perform collision repairs, including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural repairs using automotive welding equipment and fabrication techniques. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding repair methods to restore vehicle frames and panels accurately. Conduct auto body refinishing tasks such as sanding, auto painting, airless paint spraying, and automotive cosmetic repairs to achieve a high-quality finish. Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision using hand tools and power tools. Execute auto restoration projects by applying fabrication skills, working with sheet metal, and employing welding repair techniques for complex repairs. Use automotive estimating tools to assess damages accurately and communicate repair needs effectively with customers. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting and the use of power tools. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and ensure all repairs meet industry standards for quality and safety. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or collision mechanic in a dealership or independent shop setting. Demonstrated proficiency with MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and automotive structural repair. Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto body repair, auto painting, and automotive parts installation. Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service principles within an automotive environment. Hands-on experience with auto restoration projects is highly desirable. Ability to operate sanding tools, automotive welding equipment, airless paint sprayers, and other relevant power tools efficiently.
