Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural realignment using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to shape, repair, and restore vehicle bodies. Conduct automotive cosmetic repairs including sanding, auto painting with airless paint spraying systems, and automotive refinishing to achieve a flawless finish. Fabricate sheet metal parts and perform fabrication repair techniques to customize or replace damaged components. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision. Apply auto restoration skills to bring vintage or damaged vehicles back to showroom quality while adhering to safety standards. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed and ensure all repairs meet dealership or industry standards for quality and safety. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a related role within a dealership or repair shop environment with 7 years minimum. Skilled in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques with hands-on experience using automotive welding equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, sheet metal work, auto painting, auto restoration, and automotive cosmetic repair. Familiarity with auto estimating procedures and automotive parts installation processes. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and heavy lifting equipment required for vehicle repairs. Knowledge of auto body structural repair standards and automotive dent repair methods is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of auto body repair and refinishing tasks.
