Job Description

Under general supervision, perform the techniques and methods used in repairing or replacing component parts of an automobile body, providing auto body repair estimations and visualizing the finished product to acceptable standards. Perform general auto-body repairs. Operate the proper tools used in automobile body repairs. Possess the knowledge of the basic fundamentals of metallurgy. Supervise inmate workers and provide training in the basic fundamentals of metallurgy while ensuring the security of the paint booth and equipment is in accordance with agency policies. Provide on-call emergency 24-hour recovery services for all agency vehicles. Minimum Requirements:
Work experience involving the independent performance of job duties directly related to the area of employment
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and five (5) years' experience in auto body repair. Must obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) within six (6) months of employment.
