Auto Body Paint Technician

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Auto Body Paint Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert painting, coating, and finishing techniques. Your expertise will ensure each vehicle receives a flawless finish, highlighting your passion for automotive refinishing and attention to detail. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to deliver exceptional results that exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces meticulously through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primers, paints, and clear coats using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment with precision and consistency. Perform surface repairs including dent filling, welding, and auto body refinishing to restore vehicles to their original quality. Use power tools such as grinders, sanders, and buffing machines to achieve smooth finishes and flawless paint jobs. Conduct auto restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged panels, auto glass, and other components as needed. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols by utilizing respiratory protection and proper handling of paints and chemicals. Assist in vehicle detailing and final inspections to ensure the highest standards of automotive surface preparation and finishing are met before delivery. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair and auto painting. Hands-on experience with welding, grinding, sanding, buffing, and automotive surface preparation techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and spray guns for automotive refinishing. Familiarity with automotive estimating processes and understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures. Knowledge of automotive paints, coatings, surface masking techniques, and auto restoration methods. Ability to lift heavy objects safely during repairs or material handling tasks. Prior mechanic experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a passion for auto body refinishing is essential. Pay:
$20.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
