Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with various automotive systems, and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse vehicle types, including light-duty cars and heavy equipment, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and repair techniques. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on automotive electrical and mechanical systems using specialized tools and schematics. Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, steering components, and other mechanical systems. Service vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and shock & strut replacements. Repair or replace diesel engines and powertrain components in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Utilize welding, power tools, and hand tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to identify issues accurately and implement effective solutions. Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and auto body repair as needed. Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced and communicate findings clearly to customers. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to heavy equipment mechanics and automotive electrical systems. Assist in maintaining workshop organization, inventory of parts, and proper use of diagnostic equipment. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs thoroughly and ensuring customer satisfaction. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background working in the automotive repair industry. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools. Expertise in ADAS calibration, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, transmission repair, suspension systems, and wheel alignments. Proficiency with mechanical repair techniques including welding, oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts replacement. Familiarity with heavy equipment mechanics and auto body repair processes. Ability to read technical manuals accurately and interpret complex schematics. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, powertrain components, and automotive service equipment. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to ensure a positive client experience. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate service records.
