Position Summary:

A Ford Technician is responsible for independently inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing company Ford Super Duty and Diesel trucks. The technician in this role will be expected to perform routine maintenance, identify mechanical and electrical concerns and complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and established company standards. This position requires readiness of vehicles prior to deployment, flexibility, physical endurance, and the ability to respond to emergent repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns on Ford Super Duty and Diesel trucks. Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections. Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines (power stroke), transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and other mechanical systems. Use diagnostic scan tools and other equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns. Complete work orders and accurately document repairs. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Read and interpret Ford service information, repair manuals, and wiring diagrams. Stay current with Ford diesel repair procedures, diagnostic technology, and technical developments. Communicate repair needs and recommendations to management. Assist with any additional shop duties as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license. 3-5 years Ford Technician experience required. Ford Certifications are required. Experience with diesel or heavy-duty Ford trucks. Previous experience diagnosing and repairing Ford trucks. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting experience. Ability to take initiative, work independently, and be a part of a team. Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
