Schedule:
Full-time. Schedule will be assigned upon hire based on shop needs. Candidates must be available to work Saturdays. About Us Velasco Auto Care Center is a family-owned and operated automotive repair shop with a strong reputation for honest service, quality repairs, and exceptional customer care. We are looking for an experienced Automotive Technician who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a professional, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Diagnose, inspect, and repair domestic and import vehicles. Perform engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, electrical, heating, and cooling system repairs. Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tune-ups, fluid services, and factory-scheduled maintenance. Use diagnostic equipment and scan tools to accurately identify vehicle issues. Conduct vehicle inspections and provide accurate repair recommendations. Communicate findings clearly with the Service Writer and complete repair documentation. Follow manufacturer repair procedures and shop safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Deliver quality workmanship while meeting productivity goals. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of professional automotive repair experience. Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle systems. Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. ASE Certification is a plus, but not required. Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record. Must own professional hand tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
