Duties Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service needs. Prepare detailed repair estimates using estimating software and communicate options clearly to clients. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, suspension work, and transmission diagnostics to maximize customer value. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services. Maintain thorough documentation of all work performed, including service write-ups, parts used, and labor hours. Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote ongoing maintenance plans. Skills Proven experience in automotive service advising or writing within a dealership or repair shop environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and collision repair processes. Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex repairs in simple terms. Skilled in upselling services and parts to enhance revenue opportunities without compromising customer trust. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and auto repair procedures is highly desirable. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
