Job Description

Seeking experienced automotive service technician. FXG Mechanical is owned by FedEx contractors and solely works on FedEx ground vehicles. Our fleet consists of box trucks, bread trucks and freightliner trucks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive maintenance and repair. The Automotive Maintenance Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and performing routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks. Additionally, the Technician will be expected to accurately assess vehicle issues, provide recommendations for necessary repairs, and execute repairs with precision and attention to detail. We're looking for an experienced and dependable Fleet Mechanic to join our team in Pueblo, CO, to help keep our trucks running safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all FedEx and DOT standards. FXG Mechanical pays straight hourly and not book time. We are a one stop shop, we do our own towing, body work, welding, diagnostics, repairs, etc... Candidates are required to have their own tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on FedEx Ground delivery trucks. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, and hydraulics. Conduct DOT inspections and maintain service records. Track and order parts, tires, and fluids as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Provide occasional roadside assistance for breakdowns. Communicate with management to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a fleet, or heavy-truck mechanic (FedEx or commercial fleet experience preferred). Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Valid driver's license. Must pass background check and drug screening. Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused work ethic.
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay:
$23 - $30 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, occasional weekend work as needed
