Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems. Service vehicle systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, oil changes, wheel alignments, tire services, and welding repairs. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and maintenance tasks while adhering to safety standards. Repair or replace auto body components as needed to restore vehicle integrity and appearance. Conduct inspections on diesel engines, GM vehicles, and other makes to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and recommended services. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems. Dealership experience or background working with GM vehicles is highly desirable. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, auto estimating software, and auto body repair techniques. Familiarity with maintenance procedures including oil changes, wheel alignments, suspension work, brake repair, and tire service. Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair machinery safely.
