Hourly plus flat rate, based on experience Western Transmission is seeking an experienced mechanic to join our team. In business since 1969, we are a transmission and general auto repair facility known for high-quality work and a commitment to giving our customers the best service possible. We're looking for a dependable technician who takes pride in their work and has strong attention to detail. Each technician has access to multiple bays/lifts to manage multiple jobs efficiently. Responsibilities Perform general automotive repairs and maintenance. Remove and replace automatic and manual transmissions. Perform transfer case and differential service, repairs, and replacement. Inspect, service, and replace axles, CV axles, bearings, and seals. Perform oil, filter, and other lubricant changes. Inspect related components for wear or damage and communicate findings. Follow manufacturer procedures, verify fluid levels, check for leaks, and perform road tests as needed. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow shop safety procedures. Qualifications Previous professional automotive repair experience, including transmission removal and replacement. Experience with transfer cases, differentials, and axles. Must have your own tools. Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and pride in quality workmanship. Reliable attendance and the ability to work well with a team. Valid driver's license. Transmission rebuilding experience is not required. What We Offer Hourly pay plus flat rate, based on experience. Access to two lifts/bays per technician.
